Tzu Chi Foundation led by Dharma Master Cheng Yen held 5-day wisdom-filled Training Camps in three headquarters in Taiwan simultaneously from June 21-25, 2018. The volunteers who came reached more or less 1,800 from different countries around the world. More than 120 volunteers from the Philippines that included four from Cebu liaison office, participated in Taipei Camp.
This training camp was enlightening, motivating and very inspiring. From its first day until the very last day, all the time spent was worth it. But the most heartwarming and tearful experience was the appearance of Master Cheng Yen to hear the volunteers sharing and give her wisdom-life teaching.
In a nutshell, the training prepared all Tzu Chi volunteers from across the globe to perform their altruistic duties to serve others. It was centered on the very foundation why Tzu Chi has been existing for 52 years now, that is, spreading Great Love to all sentient beings without limits and beyond boundaries.
Volunteers were reminded of the Tzu Chi culture in carrying its missions of Charity, Education, Medicine and Humanity. Sharing came from the volunteers' first-hand personal experiences of how they have lived and shared their life according to the Dharma, Tzu Chi Path and wisdom-life Spirit.
From this training, all volunteers were refueled, repowered, and recharged to continue carrying the missions of Tzu Chi and vowed to do spiritual cultivation and transcend themselves in the process of selflessly helping and transforming others.
